Council approve the designation of the lndustrial Lands and Rural Areas as a Community lmprovement Project Area; Council approve the Community lmprovement Plan for the lndustrial Lands and the RuralAreas; Council approve a by-law to designate the lndustrial Lands and the Rural Areas as a Community lmprovement Project Area in accordance with ExhibitT of Appendix A; Planning & Economic Development Committee 5 April 8, 2019 Council approve a by-law to adopt the Community lmprovement Plan for the lndustrial Lands and the Rural Areas once the by-law designating the Industrial Lands and the RuralAreas Community lmprovement Project Area is approved; Council approve the implementation of the lndustrial Lands and the RuralAreas Community lmprovement Plan as follows: (a) That the Town permit applications to be submitted commencing June 1,2019; (b) That the following programs of the Community lmprovement Plan be implemented at this time: (i) lndustrial Development Charge Reduction Grant Program; (ii) Industrial Tax lncrement Financing Grant Program; (iii) RuralAreas Signage and Landscaping lmprovement Grant Program; (iv) RuralAreas Building Restoration, Renovation and lmprovement Grant Program; (iv) RuralAreas Development Charge Reduction Grant program; (v) RuralAreas Planning Application Fees Grant program; (vi) RuralAreas Tax lncrement Financing Grant program; and The Region be requested to offer matching funding for the proposed Industrial Lands and RuralArea Lands Tax lncrement Gran

Council receive the Community lmprovement Plan lncentives and Summary of Applications report. Council approve funding for 2019 for the Regional share of the Community lmprovement Plan grants for the Fagade lmprovement, Building lmprovement, Residential, Landscaping and Heritage Restoration and lmprovement Grants where a grant has not been previously provided for the property. Council require that for any future approvals, that the applicants choose either the Tax lncrement Grant or the Development Charge Reduction Grant. Council support discontinuing funding for medium density housing in the Mixed Use and Residential Intensification ClP.
